Dog Surfing has exploded onto the scene over the past decade, but in a much more niche way than other dog sports such as agility, or dock diving. Though a relatively new sport in its current form, its origins date back to the 1920s when the first documented record of a person surfing with their dog can be found.

More than mere spectacle, dog surfing is a space where trust between species becomes visible, where joy is contagious, and where interspecies bonding happens to unfold on waves.
